It's "Snowman!"

That's what Hannah said this morning, when I told her to look outside because it was snowing! We ventured out this morning when it first started, not thinking that it would even stick since it was 70 degrees yesterday. By lunch, it had started accumulating. I couldn't wait for Hannah to wake up from her nap so we could go play outside! This is the first time she has been able to play in the snow. It has only snowed two other times in her short, little life so far. The first time was the day she was born and the second time, we were not prepared for it!

She was unsure whether she wanted to venture off the porch at first. But, eventually, she took my hand and commanded walk! We definitely had a blast (and so did the dogs!)!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas in West Texas

We started celebrating Christmas early with a trip to Lubbock this weekend to see my grandparents. Hannah loved getting to know her great-grandparents and especially bossing them around (this is where my family points out that she is bossy like I was, especially with my Grandpa!).

"Wow! How did you know that is just what I wanted?!"

We knew it would happen...

Hannah has decided it is fun to dress up Radar. We have been waiting for it to happen! It started this week with Mardi Gras beads. I am sure as she gets older, we will be seeing the dog in a dress riding in the doll stroller.

We also set up Hannah's "big girl" room this week. We found her this great bed at IKEA that is twin size bed, but is only 10 inches off the floor. With her Sneed legs, a toddler size bed wouldn't last long, so we were so excited to find this one! We've let Hannah pick which bed she wanted to sleep in the last few nights, and she picked the "big girl" one tonight!

Sitting on her new bed with her babies. I'll post more pictures of the finished room later!

Christmas Sheep

Last night, Hannah had her Christmas program at school. The kids in her class were the sheep and cows in the stable. Hannah wasn't sure what to think of the crowd. She kept looking at us like, "What are you doing here at school?"
Love the tail!

Thanksgiving at the Beach

We are down in Panama City, Florida this week for Thanksgiving. Chet, his dad, and brother-in-law were invited to preach, teach, and lead worship the two Sunday's that sandwich Thanksgiving. We all have a condo together right on the beach, enjoying the peacefulness of the off season and just some time to kick back. Hannah is having a blast playing with her cousins!

Yesterday, we went to the Pier, a local outdoor shopping area with fun shops and entertainment. Hannah and Maddyn rode this little "choo-choo" train. Hannah loved it!
Today, we headed out to play miniature golf. Hannah has never played before and didn't quite grasp the concept. She did not want to let go of the ball, especially to put it into the hole. She still had a lot of fun though, especially looking at the animal statues.
Checking out the competition.

Sweet cousins!

After 12 hours in the car...

you do whatever it takes to keep yourself entertained!
(Thankfully, the stickers were not very sticky anymore so it was easy to take them off!)

Ice Cream!

This is the dessert that our waiter brought to Hannah tonight at dinner. It is meant to be shared between several children as it is two VERY large ice cream scoops. As you can imagine, Hannah's eyes were huge when it was placed before her! She dug right in (and only had a few bites... I did need her to go to sleep tonight!)!

Character Fun

Hannah has decided that hanging out with the characters is a lot of fun! She gets so excited if we see anyone out, so much so, that Chet and I spent the day looking for more to visit. Hannah runs up to them, gives them a hug (saying "awwww" herself, like all grownups do when kids do something sweet), and will sometimes blow a kiss. Minnie is definitely her favorite. She gets so excited to see her! Here, she is playing with Minnie and Pluto. Hannah told Minnie to sit next to her and they had a little party for a few minutes!

Having a blast!

We wrapped up the Off to Neverland Summit, so now it is time for vacation! Saturday night, we headed to the Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We had a great time! Hannah loved the fireworks and, of course, getting to ride "it's a small world." She stayed up until 11:30 that night (hyped up on sugar)! Here is Cinderella showing off her dress.
On Sunday, we headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios and had lunch with the Little Einsteins and other Playhouse Disney friends. Hannah was so excited to see June from the Little Einsteins! You can't tell, but she is holding a June doll in her hand.
Hannah and Goliath, the lion
Mamaw and Grandad (my parents) were able to come to spend a few days with us in Disney. We had such a great time with them and wish they could stay longer (they just left for the airport). This morning, we went to eat breakfast with Donald Duck (or just "Duck" according to Hannah) and friends in Animal Kingdom. After breakfast we headed out on the safari, where Hannah learned to say elephant and giraffe.

Hannah's First Haircut

...in the Magic Kingdom! There is a old-fashioned barber shop right on Main Street where anyone can get their hair cut. They have a fun first haircut package that also includes baby Mickey ears that say "First Haircut," a certificate, and a lock of hair.

Here is a picture from Chet's phone... Hannah wouldn't let go of me long enough to take any pictures. She was not thrilled to be up there! Even the 20 Mickey stickers wasn't enough to entice!

Afterwards with her ears on... now it is fun to play with the stickers! We didn't cut much hair off, just enough to even out the back. No more sweet baby curls! (That makes me just a little sad!)
Of course, life is much better after a ride on "it's a small world" (in the background) and French fries and ketchup!

Fall Fun!

What a great weekend! Saturday, we met my cousins at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens. We haven't ever been over there before. It is such a pretty area. Hannah loved being able to explore and it was a beautiful fall day to do so!

She found these pumpkins and kept trying to pick them up, but they were "stuck"!

Sunday night, we headed over to Legacy for Trunk or Treat. We had a great time there with grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins! Hannah didn't walk around Trick-or-Treating; she much preferred to eat goldfish the entire time with Mamaw.

We head to Disney World in just a couple of days for a business meeting with our agency and then a week of fun! Saturday, we will be trick-or-treating in the Magic Kingdom! Happy Halloween!
