A Quieter Recovery

As of last night, Joni is out of ICU. The doctors say that she is progressing exactly as they would like, and now, she will begin her recovery from TWO major surgeries. We expect to be here for another 5-7 days for recovery, but Joni is much more comfortable now...and she is no longer in danger from the infection. She has been upgraded to "clear liquid" meals (she says they are lacking in taste) and has good blood counts.

We continue to ask for no visitors as that delays her recovery. She can't wait to see you all when she is healthy again.

  1. Hey Y'all!

Let me express our joy at the arrival of Hannah and our relief that Joni is bouncing back from the setback afterwards. We'll keep in touch from far away, hugs and kisses to all of you.

  3. Glad to hear the news of improvement! We are also happy you are there to take good care of Joni. I'm sure your support and love is a great help. Tell her to get lots and lots of good rest now because once she does go home it's over!!

  4. We are glad sweet Hannah got to visit with you today at the hospital. Grandpa says he wants to come get Hannah and bring her to visit--but he doesn't plan to spoil her! See you soon and can hardly wait.
